2018 Ohio Stormwater Conference Offers Education & Networking Opportunities

The 2018 Ohio Stormwater Conference will be held May 9 to 11, 2018, at the Kalahari Resort and Conference Center in Sandusky, Ohio. Hosted by the Tinker’s Creek Watershed Partners and the Ohio Stormwater Assn., the 11th annual conference will feature workshops and exhibitions fostering professional development among storm water professionals.
Led by Harry Stark, president of the Ohio Stormwater Assn., the 2017 Ohio Stormwater Conference attracted more than 850 attendees. The 2018 event promises to be an opportunity for storm water professionals to network with peers and explore exhibits of the latest industry technologies. Attendees can attend workshops featuring updates on environmental issues, regulatory information and storm water management applications.
Join the conference a day early to benefit from EnviroCert review classes, which will be held Tuesday, May 8; exams will be available all day Wednesday, May 9—the first day of the conference. An MS4 Bootcamp will be offered on the first day of the conference, as well.
The three-day conference will feature several tours, including a canoe tour and storm water best management practices information session at Old Woman Creek National Estuarine Research Reserve. Reserve staff will discuss the 2003 wetland renovation, which included storm water retrofits, such as permeable pavement and a rain garden. Additional tours will include an exploration of Sandusky green infrastructure projects and a NASA Plum Brook Station tour and dinner.
