The Water Environment Federation is about to set up shop in the Windy City with its 86th Annual Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC).
The conference promises water quality education and training for thousands of water quality professionals. WEFTEC.13 will offer 27 workshops, 140 technical sessions, more than 1,000 presentations and posters, 1.2 continuing education credits and 16.5 professional development hours. There also will be tours and mobile sessions available to attendees.
The conference will cover more than 20 focus areas, including Disinfection and Public Health, Future Issues and Global Perspectives, and Residuals and Biosolids.
In addition to being the largest meeting of its kind in North America, WEFTEC also is the world’s largest water quality exhibition. Visitors will be able to examine cutting-edge technology in the exhibition showroom.
The conference is scheduled for Oct. 5 to 9 at McCormick Place South in Chicago; the exhibition will take place on Oct. 7 through 9. Exhibition hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
