Guidance will assist in developing post-construction compliance monitoring plans that collect sufficient data for assessing compliance with requirements of the Clean Water Act and more
EPA issued its final guidance on how to conduct effective post-construction compliance monitoring in order to assess the performance of measures implemented under long-term combined sewer overflow (CSO) control plans, as provided in EPA’s 1994 CSO Control Policy
The guidance will assist CSO permittees in developing post-construction compliance monitoring plans that collect sufficient data for evaluating the effectiveness of CSO controls and assessing compliance with the requirements of the Clean Water Act.
The EPA developed a draft of the guidance and received comments from state National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System authorities and other stakeholders.
