Aging infrastructure, ever-changing regulations and tight budgets continue to challenge the storm water and erosion control industry—but innovation is not dead.
For a sixth consecutive year, Storm Water Solutions encouraged project leaders to submit entries showcasing their efforts.
The SWS editorial staff selected 10 winners based on the obstacles that were faced and overcome, and final goals achieved. Although they vary in size and scope, the Top Storm Water & Erosion Control Project shared main objectives: meet population and regulatory demands, address aging infrastructure needs, and implement cost-efficient technologies and best practices.
Each winning project has been highlighted in SWS' December issue, and you can view a Web list with a detailed description of each project along with Web-exclusive photos.
We would like to thank all of the project leaders and representatives who submitted projects and photos, and congratulate the owners, engineers, contractors and designers whose projects are honored in this special feature. We look forward to recognizing our industry’s hard work in 2014.
