The past year has been a difficult one for many, especially in terms of extreme weather—including severe drought and storms like Sandy—and the economy, which continues to be something to keep an eye on, in the best cases, and a source of worry, in the worst. Political differences continue to divide the country, and in the water industry, complying with regulations got a little harder with new national and state permits issued by the Environmental Protection Agency.
