As the new coronavirus, known as COVID-19, continues to impact daily living and workflow, we at SWS are monitoring its effects on the storm water and erosion control industries.
Many industry events have been canceled, such as the WEF Stormwater Symposium, or postponed, such as the Ohio Stormwater Conference, which will now take place from August 26-28. Additionally, many companies and municipalities have shifted to working from home when applicable, which can help prevent the spread of the disease.
Other standard recommendations include regular hand washing, covering mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing, thoroughly cooking meat and eggs. People should also avoid close contact with anyone showing symptoms of respiratory illness, such as coughing and sneezing.
To help us monitor the situation, we have created a brief, 13-question survey. If you have a few minutes, please take some time to answer the questions and help us and your industry peers better understand the impact of coronavirus.
Data collected from this survey will be used to inform our readers about the affects COVID-19 is having on staffing, continuing education, workflow, production and more.

Additionally, with the cancellation of many events, and therefore educational sessions, the SWS team would like to remind you that registration is open for our free, three-day Webinar Fest. From April 28-30, we are offering six webinars all worth PDH credits.
For more information and to register, visit swswebinarfest.com.
Thank you in advance for your input on the survey, and please stay healthy.
