The U.S. EPA announced that the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) program is accepting letters of interest until July 31. The program was established in 2014 to accelerate investment in water infrastructure by providing long-term, low-cost supplemental credit assistance for regionally and nationally significant projects.
Prospective borrowers for the loans should submit all letters of interest electronically through email at [email protected] or on EPA’s SharePoint site. In order to request access to the SharePoint site, prospective borrowers should email [email protected] and provide the project name, prospective borrowers name, state where the project is located, point of contact information, and names/emails of anyone who needs SharePoint access. EPA then will provide a link to the SharePoint site where letters of interest can be securely uploaded. Request to upload documents should be made no later than 12:00 p.m. EDT on July 27.
