2018 Pollution Prevention Summit
The deadline is approaching for the call for speakers for the 2018 Pollution Prevention Summit. The summit will be held September 13 to 14, 2018, at the David Brower Center in Berkeley, Calif., and abstracts are due May 31, 2018. Hosted by Mapistry, the two-day event will cover storm water, SPCC, and hazardous materials through workshops, panel discussions, collaborative roundtables, and sessions hosted by industry leaders and regulators. Hanes Geo Components Acquires DDD Erosion Control
Hanes Geo Components, based in Winston Salem, N.C., announced the acquisition of DDD Erosion Control of Ashburn, Ga. Hanes Geo Components distributes geotextile and erosion control products throughout 40 North American distribution locations, and DDD Erosion Control manufactures and distributes Silt Fence. The companies hope the collaboration will lead to increased distribution throughout Southern Georgia and Northern Florida.
Express Blower Inc. Hires General Manager
Express Blower Inc. hired Mike Dyer as its general manager. This newly created position will oversee day-to-day operations and work towards meeting manufacturing, purchasing and engineering systems demands. With more than 25 years of product engineering and project management experience, Dyer will bring organizational leadership skills to the roll. Fabco’s Fabguard Registered in California
Fabco Ind. Inc. announced its product Fabguard, an anti-microbial pesticide, is registered in the state of California in addition to 17 other storm water markets. Fabguard holds pesticide registration with the U.S. EPA, as well as Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia and Vermont.
