International Erosion Control Assn. (IECA) recognized Christopher Neumann, shareholder of international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP as the Environmental Connection 2013 Presenter of the Year.
This award selects one outstanding presenter each year that demonstrates excellent presentation skills, educational delivery and content preparation. The winner is determined through the review of presenter evaluations received at IECA’s annual conference and expo.
This was Neumann's first time presenting at Environmental Connection. His course was titled "Stormwater Enforcement and Risk Mitigation Trends."
"My presentation focused on identifying enforcement trends and managing compliance under EPA’s evolving storm water enforcement initiatives," said Neumann, a shareholder in the environmental law practice group of Greenberg Traurig’s Denver office.
Neumann currently counsels clients in the natural gas, petroleum, construction, home building, solid and hazardous waste industries, environmental, mining, natural resources and many more. He is a civil engineer and a certified professional in erosion and sediment control (CPESC). He also counsels clients on complex storm water compliance and enforcement matters. Neumann is a member of the IECA's mountain states chapter and finds the organization to be a good source for news and educational opportunities and is appreciative for networking with professionals in the industry.
Neumann adds, "Membership in IECA helps me stay abreast of new developments in storm water regulations and makes it possible to get to know industry leading consultants in the area."
