AquaShield Storm Water System Selected by Government of Hong Kong

After an intense international search for storm water treatment system suppliers, the government of Hong Kong has announced the selection of Chattanooga-based AquaShield International to participate in a feasibility study conducted jointly by the Departments of Environmental Protection and Drainage Services.

AquaShield management recently traveled to Hong Kong to assist in the implementation of the feasibility study, the successful completion of which could lead to installation of AquaShield storm water treatment systems in multiple sites throughout Hong Kong.

"We are extremely pleased to have this opportunity to expand our international operations by serving the people of Hong Kong", said AquaShield President Kelly Williamson. "We are also looking forward to leveraging this opportunity to expand our current efforts in both mainland China and Korea, and to the economic growth that these efforts will provide for both our company and the entire Chattanooga community."

In recognizing AquaShield's efforts, Chattanooga Mayor Ron Littlefield stated "I am thrilled that AquaShield has been able to expand their presence and secure a significant contract with the government of Hong Kong. This demonstrates what I heard clearly in my recent trade mission to China, Japan and Korea- there is tremendous economic development potential for Chattanooga companies throughout Asia."

AquaShield International is a Chattanooga-based company specializing in the development and application of treatment solutions for storm water and industrial runoff. The company's Aqua-Filter, Aqua-Swirl, and Aqua-Guard treatment systems are internationally recognized as among the most effective in the industry. In addition to a number of domestic locations, AquaShield has international offices in Korea, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
