Stormwater Management, Inc. Adds Filtration Media Specialist

Stormwater Management, Inc., recently announced the addition of Tim Hagen as Filtration Media Specialist. Hagen brings over 19 years of experience in the development and enhancement of processes for pelletizing peat and other organic based materials.

He is responsible for developing new types of filtration media to enhance the company’s stormwater treatment applications. In addition, Hagen will be optimizing the production of Stormwater Management’s patented CSF leaf compost media.

In 2001, Hagen received national recognition for a unique and customized spheronized and granular peat media that was specifically designed to disperse microbial formulations. This specialized media was used in agriculture and wastewater treatment. In 2002, he obtained a patent for a novel process of densifying peat into a pellet form that has unique disintegration and expansion properties when exposed to water.
