Aegion Corp. Awarded Contract from Crest Hill, Ill.
Aegion Corp. announced that its subsidiary, Insituform Technologies Inc., has been awarded a $5.6 million contract from the city of Crest Hill, Ill. Insituform is to install approximately 135,000 ft of small- to medium-diameter cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) in residential neighborhoods throughout Crest Hill, beginning in January 2012.
“Since the first CIPP installation in 1971, Insituform has completed projects around the world. Using this global experience, our operations and project management teams are focused on working to provide solutions that make sense in every community. The rehabilitation of the wastewater pipelines in Crest Hill will provide its citizens with a solution that restores structural integrity. We expect the citizens of Crest Hill will experience minimal disruption throughout this project,” said Ken Foster, vice president and general manager for Insituform.
It is expected that Insituform’s proprietary air inversion steam cure installation method will be used throughout the project. This installation method will reduce energy and water usage by approximately 95%.
