Colo. Water and Sanitation District Selects Software to Support Improvement Projects

Implementation of Innovyze software to help district’s wastewater system improvements
Sept. 21, 2011

Innovyze, a provider of business analytics software and technologies for wet infrastructure, announced today that the South Adams County Water and Sanitation District (SACWSD) in Colorado selected Innovyze’s InfoSewer software to support its wastewater system improvement projects. The SACWSD is presently the largest combined water and sanitation district in Colorado. Its wastewater collection system consists of over 300 miles of sewer mains, ranging from 8 in. to 30 in. in diameter.

“Effectively managing our wastewater collection system requires sophisticated network analysis and GIS integration,” said Jim Pankonin, distribution and collection systems manager for SACWSD. “The software’s ease of use and intuitive interface, seamless ArcGIS integration, speed and broad functionality will allow us to create a powerful enterprise wide engineering GIS modeling environment.”

Built atop Esri’s ArcGIS with native geodatabase support, InfoSewer is used by municipal engineers, consultants and planners to create models of sanitary and storm sewer collection systems. These models enable users to assess the effect of new developments, zoning changes and other additional loads on system flows.
