On Sept. 27, the American Membrane Technology Assn. (AMTA) will be holding a Technology Transfer Workshop—“Membrane Applications are the New ‘Gold Rush’ in California’s Capitol City”—at the DoubleTree Hotel in Sacramento, Calif.

Attendees will learn about basic overviews of various membrane technologies, including MF, UF, NF, RO and MBR, with an additional overview of the Carmichael Water District’s Bajamont Water Treatment Plant.

Come Oct. 31, water professionals will have another opportunity to attend an AMTA workshop in Kansas City, Mo., at the Intercontinental Hotel. Titled “Membranes: Going to Kansas City . . . Kansas City Here We Come,” the workshop will focus on membrane applications, including overviews of the WaterOne and City of Olathe Membrane Plants. Attendees will also learn about several membrane case studies focusing on regulatory issues.
