ADS Announces New Storm Water Inlet Filter Design Program

Software program allows a filter to be configured based on drainage structure type and filtration needs
July 26, 2011

A new online software program to select the proper components and design an inlet filter unit for a storm water drainage system is now available from Advanced Drainage Systems Inc. (ADS).

The step-by-step FLEXSTORM Product Configurator is available free of charge at www.inletfilters.com and allows a filter to be configured based on drainage structure type and filtration needs. A resources section contains product details, engineering drawings, specifications, educational videos plus operation and maintenance plans.

Inlet filters are known for their advanced technology, favorable economics, ease of use and ability to trap debris. Because components are configurable and adjustable, units are designed to fit any drainage structure while providing maximum protection. Each unit effectively filters silt, solids and other pollutants and readily fits an ADS pipe system.

Filters are available for all casting and catch basin types for construction and post construction applications. Each filter is configured precisely to fit the designated drainage opening and installs in seconds. The unit is made up of a rigid steel frame that supports a suspended sediment bag, which filters storm water runoff below grade through various geotextile and pollution removal media.
