John Mele of Hobas Pipe USA Receives 2011 Harry P. Croft Award
John Mele, area manager, North Atlantic Region, for Hobas Pipe USA has been awarded the 2011 Harry P. Croft Award. This award is presented annually to a member of the New Jersey Water Environment Assn. (NJWEA) for his or her distinguished and outstanding service to the association or the field of water pollution control.
Mele has been in the water and wastewater industry for more than 30 years and has been actively involved with the NJWEA for more than 20 years. He was a NJWEA representative to the Water Environment Federation (WEF) House of Delegates. In addition, he has served as president of the Central Section of the NJWEA and serves on state level committees within NJWEA and is a member of New York Water Environment Assn.
He has been involved with WEF for more than 17 years and is currently participating on the WEF Government Affairs Committee. In the past he has served as a WEF director and on the WEF Board of Trustees.
