Conference on Storm Water Runoff Brings Solution Providers Together

Fabco Industries Inc. joined a collection of other companies in the storm water industry recently at a conference before the Suffolk County Planning Commission in Hauppauge, N.Y., to discuss runoff.

The special conference was titled “Smart, Green & Clean Storm Water Solutions” and took place in the William H. Rogers Legislative Building on Veterans Memorial Highway.

Storm water runoff is causing closings of beaches and shellfishing areas around Long Island. The conference’s planning chairman said the event was designed to advise municipalities about runoff problems and provide information on how to remedy the situation.

Suffolk is directing more than $30 million towards controlling pollution from storm water road runoff.
