Parsons Brinckerhoff Named WTS Puget Sound Chapter Employer of the Year
The Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Puget Sound Chapter has named Parsons Brinckerhoff Employer of the Year. In addition, the organization named Cathy Strombom, deputy area manager in the firm’s Seattle office, its Member of the Year. The Employer of the Year award recognizes an organization that has enhanced the transportation industry through its commitment to excellence and quality in the services it provides or products it produces, an organization that supports continuing education of its employees, and an organization that has supported WTS. Parsons Brinckerhoff was recognized by WTS for its commitment to affirmative action through internal networking and support groups such as the Women’s Outreach Network, the Hispanic Resource Network and the Black Professionals Network.
The Member of the Year award acknowledges a WTS member who has made extraordinary contributions to the success of the organization. A senior planning manager with more than 30 years of professional experience in transportation planning, Strombom has been a member and leader of the WTS Puget Sound chapter since the chapter was established in 1982. Her involvement includes serving on various committees and on the chapter’s advisory board.
