Highland Tank & Manufacturing recently unveiled its HighDRO-Pure Modular Rainwater Harvesting System (MRS). The system’s unique design incorporates all components of a water recycling system into a single modular package.

The systems are designed to collect, store and filter potable and non-potable water for a wide variety of uses, reducing storm water runoff and the accompanying erosion.

HighDRO-Pure systems are suitable for many commercial and industrial buildings and can be retrofitted to existing buildings or integrated into new construction.

The systems collect rooftop runoff for non-potable functions such as flushing toilets and irrigation, or it can be used for potable, or drinking water. In order to consume the water, the system needs to have multimedia, UV and additional filtration incorporated.

The first level of filtration is a flush filter, which removes debris such as leaves, dirt, dust and organic matter. From the flush filter, water moves to the rainwater collection tank. Before being used, the water passes through Highland Tank’s Advanced Water Filtration System. These filters remove sediment and provide UV disinfection to control clarity, odor and microbial contamination. Optional treatment components include chlorine injection for additional disinfection of stored water and dyeing for proper identification if needed. Additional filtration and treatment options are also available depending on local regulations.

Highland Tank designs, manufactures and assembles the entire system. The distinctive design mounts all components of the water recycling system onto a single steel skid structure for space savings and easy installation. Fitted with the appropriate inlet, outlet and electrical connections, the HighDRO-Pure MRS can be put in to operation with minimal installation costs.
