Company will collect donations at its Connecticut headquarters

CULTEC, a Brookfield, Conn.-based company, is supporting two Marine Corps Family Foundation drives to benefit the U.S. Marines.

The first initiative is the Wounded Warriors drive, supporting wounded Marines at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. They need new loose, slip-on basketball shorts, breakaway sweatpants, t-shirts, sweatshirts, DVDs, books, magazines and any other items with the Marine Corps emblem.

The other initiative is a Summer Care Package drive to support the Marines deployed in Afghanistan. They need personal care items, including travel-sized soaps, shampoos, hand sanitizers and deodorants; pre-packaged individual serving size snacks and foods; and miscellaneous items such as zip-close bags, batteries, sewing kits, paperback books, puzzle books and magazines.

The Marine Corps Family Foundation also accepts cash donations. Checks can be made out to the Marine Corps Family Foundation and contributors should indicate which drive they would like to support.

CULTEC is collecting donations for both drives until May 9 at its headquarters at 878 Federal Road, Brookfield, CT 06804.

Marjorie Hackett Wallace, a New Britain, Conn., resident whose son is a Marine and who works directly with the Marine Corps Family Foundation, will accept donations until May 31 at 103 Elbridge Road, New Britain, CT 06052.
