Clark Use, Owner of CrystalStream Technologies, Dies at 68
Clark Use, owner of CrystalStream Technologies and inventor of the CrystalClean Separator, died Oct. 6 at 6:55 a.m. of pulmonary disease at the age of 68.
Use, a veteran in the oil and gas industry, joined John Moll in 1999 with the goal of improving water quality. Although he had little experience with engineering and fluid dynamics, he believed his ideas could help improve water quality in the area of storm water. In 2000, Use and Moll founded CrystalStream Technologies. Since its formation, the company has earned eight patents. Use’s influence also helped to create the first industry association, the Stormwater Equipments Manufacturer’s Association (SWEMA).
