The 2010 CASQA Stormwater Conference is at the Westin Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage, Calif., from Nov. 1-3. The theme for this year's conference is "Rethinking Stormwater: Creative Solutions to Complex Problems." The CASQA 2010 Conference again will offer a full program of training workshops, presentations and exhibits for holders of municipal, industrial and construction NPDES storm water permits.

According to CASQA, membership provides storm water management services to over 21 million people in California and includes almost every Phase I municipal program and many of the Phase II municipal programs in the state. Exhibiting at the CASQA Conference provides an opportunity to interact with storm water contacts throughout the state and to understand the critical issues and needs of storm water programs. Conference attendees can interact with the exhibitors to fulfill a diverse set of needs, including consulting and professional services, public education and outreach, legal services, and pollution prevention and treatment best management practices. The conference provides exhibitors with the opportunity to highlight the types of goods and services sought by the attendees and to identify new and innovative ideas.

CASQA expects this year’s conference to once again draw influential members of the storm water community, including local, state and federal decision makers, storm water program coordinators, contractors, consultants, engineers, lawyers, scientists and planners. CASQA’s last conference in San Diego drew over 580 participants.

Based on the feedback that CASQA has received over the years, it has made improvements for the 2010 conference:

  • The exhibit hall is located directly adjacent to the main conference area so that it is highly visible and the conference attendees have easy access to it;
  • All coffee and breakfast breaks will be served in the exhibit hall;
  • A complimentary computer kiosk will be located in the central area of the exhibit hall to help increase the foot traffic;
  • The Exhibitor-Sponsored Reception on Tuesday evening allows for a relaxed and casual atmosphere for networking with potential clients;
  • The exhibit hall will be open from 12-5 p.m. Monday so that CASQA Pre-Conference Workshop Attendees can also benefit from it. This will allow the conference attendees access to the exhibit hall for two days instead of one;
  • An exhibitor-sponsored prize drawing will be held before lunch on Wednesday, Nov. 3, to highlight the sponsoring exhibitors; and
  • Exhibitors have the option to rent badge scanners (lead retrieval systems).

CASQA members who purchase a Regular, Premium or Super-Premium booth have the option of renting an additional outdoor exhibit area located in a courtyard adjacent to and across from the exhibitor hall. The outdoor courtyard is located immediately behind the CASQA registration tables and is accessible and visible from the conference registration area and the hallway in front of the exhibit hall.

Exhibitors also have the opportunity to purchase a color ad in the program, which is distributed to over 500 conference attendees on-site.

To be included in the conference program, exhibitors must register by Oct. 1. To see available spaces, go to http://www.casqa.org/.
