CASQA Annual State of Storm Water Meeting Jan. 14
The next annual state of stormwater meeting and webcast will be held Jan. 14, 2010 in Ventura, Calif. This is the California Stormwater Quality Assn.'s (CASQA) annual meeting focusing on the state of storm water and the most significant regulatory initiatives related to storm water quality. The agenda for this annual meeting is particularly strong, the organization said. The meeting will feature reports from directors with the California State and Regional Water Boards and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 9.
Additionally, attendees will receive a presentation from managers at EPA headquarters on the recent EPA proposed Information Collection Request on Stormwater Management Including Discharges from Newly Developed and Redeveloped Sites and the related upcoming EPA Stormwater Listening Sessions and be able to participate in a follow-up discussion.
The day will also feature presentations by a legal panel on current storm water regulatory issues and legal challenges, including unfunded mandates, TMDL (total maximum daily loads) integration into permits, and MEP (maximum extent practicable) and the iterative process.
CASQA will be celebrating its 20th anniversary at the event. The agenda is posted on the CASQA website.
