SCS Engineers is pleased to announce that Gregory D. Helland, RG/LHG, has rejoined the firm’s Bellevue, Wash., office where he will serve as vice president and office director of SCS’s Northwest operations and lead projects for government and private clients.
Helland is a licensed hydrogeologist with technical, business management and international experience in real estate due diligence, soil and groundwater characterization studies, groundwater monitoring, landfill redevelopment technical support, risk assessment, permitting, regulatory compliance, industrial hygiene and soil and groundwater remediation.
His more than 25 years of hands-on experience includes serving as the Pacific Northwest district manager for a large national consulting firm for the past two years, prior to which he worked for SCS for 20 years in various positions.
Helland earned a bachelor's degree in geology/distributive science from Gustavus Adolphus College and is a 2004 graduate of Leadership Tomorrow. He is a licensed geologist/hydrogeologist in the state of Washington and a registered professional geologist in Oregon. Helland’s professional affiliations include Association of Ground Water Scientists and Engineers, National Groundwater Association, Northwest Geological Society and Washington Hydrological Society.
