MACTEC Names Federal Programs Business Line Leader

Gene Blake brings more than 35 years of business experience and relationships to his new position

Gene Blake, P.E., has been appointed business line leader for federal programs. Ann E. Massey, president and chief executive officer of MACTEC Inc., made the announcement.

Blake brings to MACTEC more than 35 years of business development, project management and engineering experience in both the public and private sector. He has helped to build and manage a number of leading engineering firms’ federal government business with clients including the U.S. Department of Defense, the Department of Energy (DOE) and civilian agencies. Blake also served as associate director of the Tufts University Center for Environmental Management.

Blake has led the capture of more than $4 billion in government business.

“Gene’s relationships and experience in the federal marketplace will give MACTEC a greater presence and strengthen our position in this strategic business line,” said Massey.

Blake is a registered professional civil engineer and earned bachelor's and master's degrees in civil engineering and civil/environmental engineering, respectively, from Tufts University.
