Sarah Anunsen Rejoins SCS Engineers

With nine years of industry experience, Anunsen assumes role as senior project engineer

Sarah Anunsen has rejoined SCS Engineers as a senior project engineer out of its Long Beach office, announced Pat Sullivan, senior vice president of the national environmental consulting firm.

With nine years of experience in the industry, Anunsen is prepared to take on the responsibilities of her new position at SCS Engineers, including overseeing landfill operations, development and closures; landfill gas (LFG) projects; and solid waste regulatory and industry activities.

Prior to joining SCS Engineers, Anunsen served as an engineer for Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County in Whittier, Calif. During her employment there, she was charged with LFG quality management, monitoring, regulatory compliance, generation and modeling; solid waste research; post-closure care; long-term performance of landfills and AP-42 default values.

A licensed professional engineer in Oregon and Florida, Anunsen received her bachelor's degree in civil engineering from University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla., and went on to earn her master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Fla. She is currently a member of the Solid Waste Association of North America and served on the board of directors for its Oregon chapter from 2003 to 2005. She is also a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Women’s Environmental Council.
