WEF Launches Online Water Hero Feature

Nov. 6, 2008
Industry professionals nominated, featured for contributions to clean water

The Water Environment Federation (WEF) has launched the Water Hero section on its newly designed website.

The first featured Water Hero is Dale Richwine, vice president at MWH in Portland, Ore. Richwine initiated the Silent Heroes Program at the Pacific Northwest Clean Water Association, which earned the organization a WEF Member Association Achievement Award recently presented in Chicago at WEFTEC.08 last month.

The WEF website will feature two Water Heroes per week, with photos and brief bios of members who work every day to clean the world’s water. Recognizing the unsung heroes of clean water will help tell the story of the vital role WEF members play in protecting public health and the environment.
