MACTEC Appoints West Division Manager
D. Bruce Corkle, P.E., has been named West Division manager at MACTEC Engineering and Consulting Inc. (MEC). Allen Kibler, president of MEC, made the announcement.
The West Division currently has approximately 640 employees and accounts for $109 million in annual revenue. Corkle, who will be relocating to California, most recently served as Midwest area manager, overseeing operations in Chicago; Peoria, Ill.; Lincoln, Neb.; St. Louis and Kansas City, Mo. These offices have more than 150 employees and generate more than $45 million in annual gross revenue. Corkle was also Chicago office manager for nine years.
"Bruce has shown outstanding leadership in these recent roles," said Kibler. "The West Division manager plays a pivotal role in contributing to the continued profitable growth of MEC, and I'm excited that Bruce has accepted the position."
Corkle joined MEC in 1995 and has more than 30 years of consulting experience, particularly in process design and civil site development. He is one of the company's leaders in environmental process engineering for the metals and metal finishing industries and is a co-inventor of patented process to reduce recycled process water. Two of his projects also received the Illinois Governor's Award for Pollution Prevention.
Corkle is a registered professional engineer in Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. He has a bachelor's degree in engineering mathematics from the University of Tulsa and a master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Corkle is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and American Society of Civil Engineers.
