Hydro Intl., a provider of environmentally sustainable products and innovative solutions that control and treat storm water, wastewater and combined sewer overflows (CSOs), has announced a new market-focused U.S. business structure poised to take advantage of increasing opportunities in the municipal wastewater, storm water and wet-weather markets.
The company’s wastewater operation, based in Hillsboro, Ore., brings Hydro and Eutek Systems, which Hydro purchased in May 2008, under one roof. The new operation now offers the world’s most advanced solutions to separate, wash and dewater grit from municipal and industrial wastewater.
The wet-weather operation, based in Portland, Maine, oversees the company’s innovative solutions designed to improve management of wet-weather flows within collection systems and wastewater treatment plants including CSOs, sanitary sewer overflows and storm discharges at wastewater treatment plants.
The U.S. storm water operation, also based in Portland, Maine, provides a full range of solutions to control and treat urban runoff from municipal separate storm sewer system communities with separate storm sewer and sanitary sewer systems. Hydro’s portfolio of treatment products include filters and vortex separators, which are used to comply with the National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) regulations requiring the removal of nonpoint source pollutants from storm water runoff.
“This new organizational structure gives Hydro a renewed focus on strategic segments of the U.S. water market that will allow us to better serve the needs of our customers,” said Chris Williams, chief operating officer for Hydro. “These operations are positioned to build on our long history of innovation and top-quality service and capitalize on growth potential in our target markets.”
The wastewater and wet-weather operations will showcase their products at the upcoming WEFTEC conference, Oct. 18 to 22 in Chicago. The Hydro wastewater team will be at Booth No. 32031 and the Hydro wet-weather team will be at Booth No. 28157.
