The Underground Construction Technology (UCT) International Conference & Exhibition has unveiled its full conference lineup of educational programs taking place Jan. 20 to 22, 2009, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas. Thirty-three trade associations and universities co-sponsor the sessions.
UCT’s educational program is led by prominent industry leaders who offer realistic approaches in handling workplace challenges. The program delves into important issues facing the industry and provides workable solutions based on past experiences. Sessions include standing-room-only tutorials, a trenchless technical symposium and a host of specialty programs sponsored by the Gas Technology Institute, National Association of Sewer Service Companies, North American Society for Trenchless Technology and the Center for Underground Infrastructure Research & Education. Attendees can earn continuing education units or professional development hours in conjunction with the University of Texas at Arlington or industry certification, depending on the specific course taken.
UCT focuses on the complete underground infrastructure industry. The event features the latest equipment, products and services targeted to meet sewer, water, gas distribution, telecom, power and energy pipelines and engineering challenges. Scores of comprehensive presentations as well as pre- and post-show workshops, association and organization meetings, specialty conferences and much more are regular features at UCT, including countless opportunities to network in an amiable setting.
The exhibit hall will contain more than 400 booths with many state-of-the-art innovations and equipment designed to improve efficiency and profitability in an increasingly competitive market. Organizers expect nearly 3,000 people will attend UCT.
