SCS Engineers is pleased to announce that Christopher D. Hardin, P.E., has joined the firm’s growing Charlotte, N.C., office, where he will lead projects for government and private clients. Hardin is a geotechnical/environmental engineer with technical, business management and international experience in solid waste design, sediment remediation, groundwater remediation and design-build projects.
His more than 20 years of hands-on experience includes starting and successfully running a 25-person engineering company for nine years, specializing in landfill design and construction quality assurance, remediation and forensic evaluation of failing geotechnical projects. He subsequently worked for two national engineering firms, developing successful remediation and solid waste design teams. His responsibilities included serving as national client service manager, engineering design team leader and project manager for solid waste, remediation and sediment remediation projects in the U.S. and abroad.
Hardin earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Maryland. He is a registered professional engineer in the states of Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Hardin’s professional affiliations include both the Solid Waste Association of North America and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
