Triton Lands Canadian Distributor

Company introduces stronger, lighter, cost-effective storm water system to the Canadian market

Triton Stormwater Solutions, a manufacturer of eco-friendly and efficient storm water chambers, has entered a sales and distribution agreement with EMCO to be the exclusive distributor for its storm water chamber system in Canada. Triton’s products are now available in all five provinces of Canada as well as throughout the U.S., Mexico, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean.

Unlike other systems, the Triton chambers are made of environmentally friendly soy-based resin, making them at least 20 percent less expensive and 50 percent stronger and lighter. Its unique design allows 46 percent greater storage capacity per linear foot than the competition, allowing the same water storage volume with about 20 percent less footprint and 20 percent less stone.

“As a distributer, we want to carry the best products out there that are solution-oriented and add value to our customers,” said Hisham Younis, business development manager for EMCO. Younis anticipates that the chambers will be well received and recognized as a significant improvement over other products on the market. “One advantage of being stronger is that you can bury the chambers deeper in the ground, which is required by many applications,” he added. Even with the slowdown experienced now due to the housing crisis in the U.S., Younis is expecting at least $1 million dollars in sales of Triton products over the next 12 months.

“We are very pleased to announce our relationship with a long-standing industry leader such as EMCO,” said Joe Miskovich, president of Triton. “This relationship will extend our reach into Canada, which is a key market in our strategy of international distribution.”
