Hydro Intl. Director of Innovation to Conduct EPA Seminar
Hydro Intl., a provider of environmentally sustainable products and innovative solutions that control and treat storm water, has announced that Director of Innovation Robert Andoh will conduct a free day-long seminar about urban water management issues Wednesday, July 16, in conjunction with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Andoh will lead both sessions of the “Innovations and Paradigm Shifts for Integrated Urban Water Management Seminar,” at the EPA’s offices in Edison, N.J. The morning session will focus on “Integrated Stormwater Management in Urban Environments.” Andoh will discuss a variety of topics, including technologies and paradigm shifts in storm water treatment and control and the importance of preventing pollution washout. The afternoon session is entitled “Addressing CSO Challenges with Innovation.” Andoh will cover different approaches to wet-weather management, issues relating to flow control and satellite treatment, the application of computational fluid dynamics in development of wet-weather treatment devices and the Saco, Maine, wastewater treatment plant’s use of advanced vortex systems for the treatment of combined sewer overflows.
