25-Year Industry Veteran Joins SCS Field Services

Jose De La Lama brings land development, infrastructure project experience to estimator position

SCS Field Services is pleased to announce the addition of Jose De La Lama as an estimator for SCS’s construction division, working nationally from the firm’s Reston, Va., office.

De La Lama’s 25-year career includes construction projects in the North America, Central America and South America. These projects have included land development for industrial, commercial and residential projects; office buildings; hotels; hospitals; and residential buildings. He has also worked on infrastructure projects involving roadways; irrigation canals; pipeline systems for municipal water use; storm and sanitation sewers; underground storage facilities; storm water management; water tanks; and water and sewer treatment plants.

De La Lama’s experience includes reviewing design drawings as the basis for cost estimates for project budgets and bids, including take-offs and bid document preparation. He has worked with clients, project engineers and architects to prepare accurate budgets. De La Lama’s hands-on construction experience has led to the successful completion of a multitude of infrastructure and site development projects.

De La Lama earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru and a master's degree in construction management and real estate development from Universidad Politecnica De Madrid, Spain. He is currently a registered professional engineer in Peru and is fluent in English and Spanish.
