MACTEC Appoints New President, CEO

Ann E. Massey assumes position as first female CEO heading a Top 50 U.S. engineering firm

Ann E. Massey has been appointed president and chief executive officer of MACTEC Inc. and president of MACTEC Development Corporation (MDC). MDC is MACTEC's construction entity focusing on decontamination, demolition, remediation, radiological engineering and risk management services.

With 29 years experience, Massey has been with MACTEC for 19 years and since 2002, has served as the firm's North Division manager, responsible for 26 offices throughout the northeastern U.S. The North Division currently has more than 750 employees and more than $100 million in annual revenue.

"Ann has provided superb leadership in the profitability and continued growth of the North Division," said Bruce Coles, chairman of MACTEC. "She will now play a pivotal role in overseeing MACTEC's growth nationwide."

"I am honored to receive this new appointment and look forward to building on our core engineering and design, environmental and construction services while expanding our services in key geographic regions," Massey said.

Massey is a registered professional geologist in Tennessee and Kansas. She received a bachelor's degree in geology and a master's degree in business from Tennessee Technological University. She has also completed an executive management program at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University.
