ADS Adds New High-Performance Pipe

Advanced Drainage Systems Inc. (ADS) has announced an addition to its current family of N-12 pipe products. This next generation of pipe, N-12 HP, has a unique engineered structure that will allow greater opportunities for the product to be specified on more storm, sanitary and high-performance project applications.

N-12 HP will be commercially available through the company's nationwide distribution network in early 2009.

"ADS is constantly looking for innovative ways to improve our product offering," said Joe Chlapaty, chairman and chief executive officer of ADS. "N-12 HP will advance the industry as we know it today."

The new product couples advanced resin technology with highly engineered profile designs, resulting in a product with enhanced pipe stiffness, beam strength and service life performance. N-12 HP is manufactured utilizing a light grey resin color to make post-installation inspection easier. Its standard length will be 20 ft, with shorter lengths available for trench box and deep burial installations. It will be available in diameters up to 60 in.

Efforts are underway to obtain the appropriate ASTM and AASHTO specifications. N-12 HP will be specified through a new ASTM standard currently under development.
