Hydro Intl, a provider of environmentally sustainable products and innovative solutions that control and treat storm water, wastewater and combined sewer overflows, has announced a 16 percent revenue increase in 2007, with worldwide sales of $52 million.
Hydro’s North America storm water operations saw increased demand for products across its portfolio. Products including the Downstream Defender, Up-Flo Filter and First Defense offer high-performance treatment for the protection of rivers and lakes, and products such as the Reg-U-Flo Vortex Valve provide flow-control capabilities that protect urban environments from flooding.
Highlights for the North American storm water business included the securing of regulatory approvals for the Downstream Defender in Ohio and for the Hydro Up-Flo Filter in the St. Louis market.
Hydro’s North American wastewater operations secured its largest grit-removal contract ever in 2007--a $1.8 million deal with the city of Clearwater, Fla. Hydro also continued its progress in developing new territories, including Pennsylvania, West Virginia, North Carolina, Texas and Kentucky.
“We were very pleased with the progress our North American operations made in 2007,” said Chris Williams, chief operating officer for Hydro Intl. “The fundamentals of our business are very strong, and we look forward to building on our successes in 2008.”
