The International Erosion Control Association (IECA) will team up with CPESC Inc. to present online versions of the Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality (CPSWQ) and Certified Erosion Sediment and Stormwater Inspector (CESSWI) exam review courses through its online training program.
Each live session will be recorded and available for on-demand viewing, allowing participants to catch up on missed segments of the series.
The CPSWQ series will be offered Fridays, April 4 to 18 continuing May 2 to 16. Eric Bernsten, PH, CPESC, CPSWQ, a technical lead on the Construction General Permit for the California State Water Resources Control Board, will lead the course.
Topics to be covered include: pollutants of concern during and post-construction; watershed hydrology concepts; water quality monitoring principles; erosion and sediment control measures; and storm water management practices used for post-construction runoff control and water quality treatment.
The six-part CESSWI series, taught by Jimmy Eanes, CPESC-IT, CESSWI, will take place every Wednesday from April 9 to May 14. Eanes will address relevant rules and regulations; safety and communication; documentation and inspector duties; plan management; and best management practices.
