St. Louis to Award Three Storm Water Contracts
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District's trustees have tentatively awarded three storm water control project contracts to help ease flooding and erosion for local residents.
The district plans to award $154,000 to Heartland Construction and Excavating, Florissant, Mo., to install 467 ft of storm sewers north of I-44 and west of Laclede Station Road in Webster Groves, Mo. Work would begin in April and end in August.
The second contract, worth $145,320, would go to XL Contracting Inc., St. Peters, Mo. The company would install 506 ft of storm sewers to eliminate flooding and erosion for two properties east of Lindbergh Boulevard and south of Midland Boulevard in Overland, Mo. Work would begin in April and end in June.
Finally, the trustees have selected J.H. Berra Construction Co. to install 158 ft of box culvert and 149 ft of storm sewers to alleviate rear yard flooding from a Glendale, Mo., property. The contract would be worth $141,201, and work would begin in April and be completed by June.
All potential contract recipients came in with the lowest bids for their respective projects.
