IECA Seeks Technical Program Proposals
The International Erosion Control Association (IECA) is accepting proposals for technical programming at Environmental Connection 2009, IECA's annual conference and expo to be held Feb. 9 to 13 in Reno, Nev.
All industry professionals are encouraged to participate in the education process. Abstracts for presentations relating to the following categories are being solicited: slope stabilization; stream restoration; vegetative establishment; storm water management; wetland restoration and management techniques; erosion and sediment control; beach and shoreline stabilization; and wind erosion and dust control.
Presentation formats include technical papers, workshops, forums, poster presentations and case studies. Proposals will be reviewed by the IECA Technology Section Committee for possible inclusion in the EC09 technical program. Acceptance is based on thorough data and clear results, industry relevance, innovation and clarity.
All abstracts must be submitted through the IECA website by May 5. Notification of approval will be sent June 9. If selected, the final presentation will be due to IECA by Oct. 3.
