IECA Chapters Recognized for Industry Contributions

South Central, Mid-Atlantic, Mountain States, Southeast, Western and Australasia chapters to be honored at EC08

Located throughout the U.S. and in five other regions of the world, International Erosion Control Association (IECA) chapters are instrumental in providing the erosion and sediment control community with education and networking opportunities through regional conferences, workshops and field days. The following IECA chapters have been recognized through the association's Partners for Excellence program for providing outstanding service to the industry in the areas of member services, chapter management and education and outreach:

• South Central Chapter (Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas) has earned the Rick Granard Award of Distinction, the highest overall award. It is also being recognized as the most improved large chapter.

#149 Mid-Atlantic (Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington D.C. and West Virginia), Mountain States (Colorado, Montana, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming) and Southeast (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee) chapters earned Chapter Management Awards of Achievement.

• Western Chapter (Arizona, California, Hawaii and Nevada) has earned the Membership Development and Services Award of Achievement.

• Australasia Chapter (Australia and New Zealand) has earned the Education/Outreach Award of Achievement. The chapter is also being recognized as the most improved small chapter.

These chapters will receive their awards Feb. 19 at the EC08 Awards Luncheon in Orlando, Fla.
