A person has been fraudulently calling Colorado Springs, Colo., residents claiming he is from the Stormwater Enterprise or Colorado Springs Utilities and that they owe money. If an individual calls asking for personal information, the Stormwater Enterprise has advised not to give it out.

"We would never proactively call a citizen who had a past-due balance," said Stormwater Business Administrator Jennifer Teal. "That would be taken care of through the statement process. We wouldn't be responsible for that information to be used fraudulently, so it's just not something that we deal with."
