Pervious Pavement Manual Available for Free Download
Storm water management systems are increasingly focusing on strategies that emphasize conservation and use of onsite natural features--for instance, pervious concrete pavers. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recognizes pervious pavement as a storm water best management practice.
The Portland Cement Association (PCA), in an effort to provide designers and specifiers access to the latest pervious pavement information, will offer free downloads of the PDF version of Hydrologic Design of Pervious Concrete through March 31. Typically the manual, which discusses selecting and designing an appropriate pervious concrete pavement system, is sold for $30 through the PCA bookstore. Civil engineers, landscape architects and other design professionals, as well as agencies seeking permits for proposed pavement systems, will find the content useful.
