TBE Group Appoints New Director

Brent A. D'Angelo, P.E., to serve as new director, Texas business unit manager

TBE Group, a full-service international civil engineering and consulting firm specializing in subsurface utility engineering, survey, right-of-way mapping and utility coordination services, has announced the appointment of Brent A. D'Angelo, P.E., as director and Texas business unit manager for TBE's Utilities Div.

Based in TBE's Mesquite, Texas, office, D'Angelo will be responsible for overall management of all subsurface utility engineering, utility coordination and survey servces for Texas operations.

D'Angelo joined TBE from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) in Atlanta. Most recently, he served as GDOT's assistant state utilities engineer; he was responsible for the proper administration of all preconstruction activities, utility/railroad installations and relocations for GDOT's $2.7 billion annual work program. Previously, D'Angelo had served as GDOT's state subsurface utilities engineer.

While at GDOT, D'Angelo received two Federal Highway Administration awards, the 2007 Excellence in Utility Relocation/Accomodation Achievement Award and another recognizing his outstanding achivement in the administration of GDOT's Subsurface Utility Engineering program.

D'Angelo, a registered professional engineer, received his B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Central Florida. He is a member of the American Public Works Association and the Georgia Utilities Coordinating Council's Marketing Standards Committee. He will also serve as TBE's alternate member to the American Society of Civil Engineers 38-02 Standards Committee.
