IECA Announces 2008 Board of Directors

All three incumbents will continue their service

The International Erosion Control Association (IECA) membership voted to retain all three incumbents in this year's election for the 2008 Board of Directors. Michael Chase, CPESC, CPSWQ; Julie Etra, CPESC; and Tom Williams, M.A., CPESC, will begin their new terms in February 2008.

Chase, Etra and Williams will continue their service to the association and its members alongside fellow board members Ron Faucher, CPESC; Becky Gauthier; Mark Hunter, P.E.; Lee Johnson, CPESC; John McCullah, CPESC; and Doug Wimble.

Michael Chase, CPESC, CPSWQ, an erosion control specialist with Paradigm Engineering, currently serves IECA as the treasurer for the board of directors. As a member of the association's Western chapter, Chase served two terms as chapter president.

Julie Etra, CPESC, is principal of Western Botanical Services Inc. As an active member of IECA since 1988, Etra currently serves as the association's vice president of international development and is a past president of the Western chapter.

Tom Williams, M.A., CPESC, works as a restoration ecologist for Golder Associates Inc., Lakewood, Colo. He is a past president of the Western chapter and has been a member of IECA for more than 18 years. Williams is a charter member of the future of the association strategy team and has served as the chair for the vegetative establishment technology section for the past seven years.

The IECA Board of Directors comprises nine members, each serving a three-year term. Board positions will be decided at a meeting to be held at Environmental Connection 2008 (EC08), IECA's annual conference and expo, Feb. 18 to 22, 2008, in Orlando.Source: IECA
