Derek joined OTT HydroMet in 2020 as a Hydrology Advisor/Urban Flooding Warning & SaaS Business Manager and has a background with the municipal side of the industry.  Over the last 20 years he has spent time with three different North Carolina municipalities, progressing in advancement and responsibility at each stop-staff/design engineer, Town Engineer & most recently as a Public Works Director.  Domestic water distribution, wastewater collection, stormwater management, managing budgets, design and construction of CIP’s, and transportation are a few of his areas of expertise.  With two separate cities, Derek was the municipal department head that guided each community in their stormwater program development. Most municipalities are challenged with improving, upgrading, and maintaining their drainage & stormwater infrastructure.  That, along with compliance of the EPA’s NPDES/Phase II stormwater requirements were items that

Derek managed and advised these communities. Derek is a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Civil Engineering and in his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors with his wife of 17 years and three children-biking, hunting, & trout fishing.
Dan Penczak
Mid-Atlantic Territory Manager
OTT HydroMetDan has 19 years of capital equipment, products, solutions, and service sales and engineering within various water treatment industries. His background includes time spent in drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, and environmental monitoring and weather. He has 8 years of experience working with instrumentation in water monitoring applications. Dan joined OTT HydroMet as the Mid-Atlantic Region Territory Manager in November 2018.  Dan has a chemical engineering degree from Villanova University. In his spare time, he enjoys many forms of outdoor athletic activities including running, hiking, and biking.
