The Singapore Water Academy launched the second course in its flagship Singapore Water Management Series. The five-day Sustainable Urban Stormwater Management course provides an in-depth understanding into holistic and sustainable urban storm water management and how to integrate storm water management into urban planning to improve cities' flood resilience.
Starting with an overview of Singapore's approach in managing storm water with a focus on both drainage planning and operations, the course will cover building cities for flood resilience, drawing reference from case studies in Hong Kong, Australia and the U.K. The course will also highlight the role of Water Sensitive Urban Design for sustainable cities, the equivalent of Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters (ABC Waters) Programme in Singapore.Â
