Storm Pipe Meets Newly Approved AASHTO M330
Advanced Drainage Systems Inc.’s (ADS) HP Storm Pipe meets the new requirements of AASHTO M330 for use in culvert and storm sewer pipe projects. This new specification pertains specifically to HP Storm pipe, 12-in. through 60-in. dual and triple wall. Both public and private specifying agencies rely on The American Assn. of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) for product specifications such as pipe for use in transportation infrastructure projects.
"AASHTO specifications represent the culmination of extensive work by key department of transportation officials who make up AASHTO's Subcommittee on Materials. It completes a strong foundation of specifications and approvals that include those from ASTM and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for this premium product. This particular specification highlights the need for products in high performance storm sewer applications," stated Ryan Zenkewicz, storm sewer market manager.
HP Storm offers premium joint performance, enhanced stiffness over traditional storm sewer products, provides increased longitudinal beam strength and chemical, stress crack and abrasion resistance.
The pipe is manufactured from impact modified copolymer polypropylene resin. The HP Storm's smooth interior wall promotes excellent flow rates while its corrugated structure maximizes stiffness and strength. All HP Storm pipe diameters feature an extended integral bell and spigot joint with dual gaskets and polymer reinforcement for maximum joint integrity. The pipe is available in 20-ft and 13-ft lay lengths to accommodate various trench box dimensions.
