Verizon, Hyfi launch flood sensor program in Chicago

Fifty sensors were distributed across Chicago's most flood-prone areas.

Brandon Wong, CEO of Hyfi, discusses a partnership between Verizon, Hyfi and the Center for Neighborhood Technology, that recently launched floodwater sensors in the city of Chicago to provide city managers and others with high levels of information to mitigate flood impacts.Wong discusses the pilot program, which began in New Orleans last year, how it will grow and how the sensors work.
