Burns & McDonnell Hires Regional Manager of Environmental Studies, Permitting Practice

New hire brings knowledge of storm water & watershed management to businesses & municipalities throughout the upper Midwest

Burns & McDonnell announces that Della Schall Young, PMP, CPESC, ENV SP, has joined the firm’s Minneapolis-St. Paul office as a regional manager in the Environmental Studies & Permitting Practice. Young will focus on providing services in Minnesota and surrounding states in the upper Midwest related to federal, state and local water resources, storm water and environmental planning and permitting.

Young draws on 16 years of experience as an environmental professional and facilitator. She is responsible for helping businesses and municipalities navigate regulations such as the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems program as well as those associated with restoration and protection of water and native land resources. She has extensive knowledge of watershed planning and management, storm water management, and water quality modeling and studies.

Young is an active member of American Council of Engineering Companies/Minnesota, serves on the Friends of the Mississippi River Board and leads Girl Scout Troop 15981. Young earned her Bachelor of Science in environmental sciences/studies and her Master of Science in water resources science from the University of Minnesota.
